This
is the third book by Catherine Ryan Hyde I have read and the second
that involves camping in the California Wilderness, this time by pack
horse in mountainous terrain. The exact location is seemingly
fictional. A coming of age story for the boy involved, a journey for
his partners. It highlights some of the paradoxes of life—like
hating and loving someone at the same time and learning to let go of
the hate because of the harm it does you.
